What is a Wart?
 

Warts are rough, raised skin growths caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), commonly found on hands, feet, or fingers.

When Should I Seek Treatment?

  • Warts are painful, spreading, persistent, or unsightly.

Can It Be Treated Without Surgery?
 

Yes. Over-the-counter creams or cryotherapy can work for some. Resistant cases may need surgical removal.

What Happens During Surgery?
 

The wart is excised, frozen (cryotherapy), or burned (cautery) under local anaesthetic.

Minimal preparation. You may need a dressing, and healing can take 1–2 weeks.
